VoIP, Non-VoIP and FirstCard: What Do These Labels Mean?

Learn what number type, card category and expiry each tell you before you buy.

VoIP, non-VoIP, FirstCard and RenewCard can look like a single ladder of quality in a catalog. They describe different aspects of a product. Read number type, purchase category and validity separately before deciding whether an option fits your task.

Start with the number type

VoIP is technology for making voice calls over the internet; the term does not establish that a Vozira SMS product includes calling. See Twilio's VoIP definition for the general concept.

Vozira lists US VoIP and non-VoIP as different product categories. A US VoIP number can be an option for receiving SMS when the destination service accepts it. A US non-VoIP listing does not establish acceptance by every platform either.

Do not interpret non-VoIP as a verification guarantee or VoIP as an automatic failure. Select the service you actually need first, then inspect its current product categories, restrictions and prices. The destination platform's current requirements remain relevant.

Read the purchase category separately

FirstCard is a first-activation catalog category. It is not proof that nobody has ever used the number anywhere. RestartCard indicates a number previously sold by the carrier; this does not establish its history in a particular app. RenewCard indicates prior purchase in the selected project, not ownership of an already registered account.

These labels describe products available to buy. Extending a number you already have is a separate operation on its original order. Buying another RenewCard does not automatically renew that order, and a RestartCard purchase does not assure delivery of the old number.

Then check how long access lasts

Neither the number type nor the card category converts directly into a fixed number of days. For example, the current US non-VoIP initial term is random and approximately one month, rather than a fixed 30 days from purchase. Other products have their own offered terms. Read the actual expiry on the delivered order.

A long-term label still requires checking renewal eligibility. A FirstCard label still requires reading registration and support restrictions. These checks prevent ordinary catalog descriptions from becoming assumptions about permanent access, unused history or unconditional returns.

Use one consistent comparison order

Choose the destination service, country, number type and purchase category. Then review validity, quantity and the total amount. If you need voice or another capability, look for an explicit product statement; SMS reception alone does not establish it.

Compare prices only after confirming that the options meet your needs. If a capability is unclear, ask support before paying instead of buying to test an assumption. See the buying guide for card categories and the US number guide for product scope.
